{My Favourite Photograph from the Bride last Sunday}

Not my party, though.
It is cake-making day, with some massive cleaning happening in our downstairs area to get ready for our daughter’s sleepover party.
Since I don’t have the courage to show you my mountain of laundry, whether it be folded or not, there is no before and after shots of the downstairs area.
I do have a shot of a blunder I did while making the cake. It started out with a way-too big tip and messed up lines… It had to be scraped and restarted.
Here’s a picture of it half scraped, and half restarted:

Here part of it is ~ I think I’ve been doing too many macro shots on real flowers!

Here’s the final product:

I forgot to eat lunch because I was trying to hurry and get the cake done before the baby woke up from his nap. My hands were shaking a bit {low blood sugar and all that fun stuff} and I have a few crooked lines. But considering the cake was supposed to be done in 1 1/2 hour {time I had alotted}, the fact that I had to scrape it and restart put me so off schedule {by 2 hours!} and I was in a real hurry. I think it turned out ok, though.
Then there is always the fun left-over icing and clean-up to do:

I forgot to take a picture of the icing bags lined up on the side and the other multitude of tools I have lying beside them, so there are more things to clean up there too.
If you are interested, I used black Jelly Beans for the middle after filling it in with brown icing {should have used black, but ran out of cocoa powder and didn’t have enough black paste to make true black without darkening it first}. I hope the shots aren’t too blurry, I was holding the camera in a very bad posture because my hands were constantly covered in icing and I didn’t want to get the camera dirty.
Have a fantabulous day,

I heart Macros. Especially Flower Macros. I Heart Hubby for buying me a Nikkor Micro lens.
Here is an attempt at some High Key Photography.

And here are my attempts at Low Key.

Have a fantabulous day,
